Recent hurricanes and major earthquakes highlight the importance of emergency communications. There will be experts, demonstrations, and hands-on opportunities to try various methods of communications. Plus: vendors and door prizes so you can add to your emergency preparedness supplies. Participants: Adventure 16; AT&T; CERT (Citizens Emergency Response Team); LAFD-ACS (Auxiliary Communications Services); MVCC (Mar Vista Community Council); More Prepared; Palms Middle School; PepC (Palms Emergency Preparedness Coalition); The Surplus Store.
