Important Announcement from Council Member Paul Koretz
Posted on April 9th, 2018

Cheviot Hills Residents: Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) has notified us that today begins a two-week project to replace and upgrade equipment at the HBOC oil and gas production facility in the Cheviot Hills neighborhood – the site of the odorant spill back in November. The new pump being installed is an upgraded model, containing an additional valve designed to help prevent odorant from escaping. In addition, they have promised they will take precautions to minimize any odors during the work. While they do not anticipate any odor will be noticeable to the community during this process, we encourage anyone who smells natural gas to call them immediately at 1-800-427-2200.
